・Ansei 6 (1859): Toyojirō Yamada learned flower and tree cultivation, garden design, and business at “Hanaichi” in Ōtsu Daikumachi and established himself independently as “Hanatoyo.”
・Keiō 3 (1867): Moved to Kyoto and started business in Gojō Fuyachō.
・Meiji 33 (1900): Relocated the store and cultivation site from Gojō Fuyachō to Nakadōji, Ōuchi Village,
Kadono District (present-day Ōmiya Gojō headquarters), engaging in flower and tree cultivation, fresh flowers, and landscaping.
・Meiji 43 (1910): Moved cultivation sites to Nishigamo Yakushiyama and Imakumano Hiyoshichō.
・Taishō 8 (1919): Relocated cultivation sites to areas around Nishiōji Gojō and Horikawa Hanayachō.
・Shōwa 7 (1932): The current “Hanatoyo” signboard was created by Sakamoto Hansei.
・Shōwa 8 (1933): Established a cultivation site in Uji Kohata.
・Shōwa 38 (1963): Reorganized as a corporation.
・Shōwa 50 (1975): Yonejirō Yamada was awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon.
・Shōwa 52 (1977): Yonejirō Yamada was conferred the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
